The Tuscan wine Rosso di Montalcino produced by the Uccelliera winery presents itself immediately with a beautiful roundness in the mouth, with an intense and fresh fruit that then shifts towards tertiary sensations. A bottle with which the Uccelliera winery tells one of the many faces that the Sangiovese grape takes within the terroir of Montalcino, highlighting its most immediate and tangible characteristics compared to the more austere Brunello. Among these, the “youth” of this Rosso shines through with a fresh organoleptic personality, making it easy to drink. A label to taste now, but that can also be easily forgotten in the cellar for the next three or four years.

The Rosso di Montalcino signed by the Uccelliera winery is made from pure grapes of a red berry variety that has always been very important for the entire Italian viticulture, and particularly for the Tuscan one, the Sangiovese. The vines of this variety are cultivated in the vineyards surrounding the Montalcino fraction of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, at an altitude between 150 and 350 meters above sea level. The must ferments spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent aging takes place first for 8 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels, and then, after bottling, for another 8 months directly in glass.

This Rosso di Montalcino reveals itself to the eye with a clear and well-defined color, reminiscent of garnet. The fruit in spirit comes forward first on the nose, then giving way to more earthy and spicy sensations from which light vegetal nuances also emerge. On the palate, it is full-bodied, round, and soft, with a decisive sip that relies on significant salinity. A label with which the Uccelliera winery manages to stand out with scores that are nothing short of high in the main national and international trade magazines.
