Der Rosato „Mazzì“ ist ein intensiver und harmonischer Ausdruck von Roséwein aus dem Salento, der überwiegend aus Negroamaro-Trauben mit Reifung in Fässern aus Kirsch- und Kastanienholz gewonnen wird. Er ist reich, vollmundig, fruchtig und duftend, mit Aromen von roten Früchten, aromatischen Kräutern, roten Blumen und Rhabarber sowie einem reichen, vollmundigen, weichen und sehr anhaltenden Geschmack.
The Rosato del Salento "Mazzì" is one of the most representative wines of the entire range produced by the Rosa del Golfo winery, a Salento producer that makes rosé wines one of the most distinctive features of its production. This label stands out for its particularly broad taste, thanks to an aging process that takes place in wood, thus giving depth to the sip and the aromas that develop on the nose. A bottle that transports us to the beating heart of Apulian viticulture.
This Rosato del Salento "Mazzì" is born from a blend where, alongside 90% Negroamaro, a symbol grape of regional enology, we also find Malvasia Nera for the remaining part of the blend. The plants of these two varieties grow with the bush vine system, within soils characterized by a clayey and calcareous subsoil, located around Alezio, in the Mazzì area. The grapes, once harvested by the Rosa del Golfo winery team, are pressed and decanted cold static, and then fermented in steel containers at a controlled temperature. It then continues with aging, carried out for 10 months in cherry and chestnut casks.
The "Mazzì" is a Rosato del Salento that, upon visual examination, presents itself with a bright pink color, crossed by light coppery hues at the rim. The array of aromas on the nose is captivating, moving through a progression of small red fruit notes, enriched by hints of aromatic herbs and floral touches. On the palate, it is full-bodied, round, with a salty imprint sip, characterized by a good dose of freshness; it ends with an excellent persistent finish. A bottle with which the Rosa del Golfo winery wins the opinion, more than positive, of the main Italian industry critics.
