Chardonnay Cambria 2022

The Chardonnay Cambria is a Sicilian wine rich in nuances, an exhaustive portrait of the oenological refinement that has been achieved on the island for several years. The vinification in barrique is expertly managed by the team at the Cambria winery, skilled in ensuring that the wood enhances the array of sensations on the nose without overshadowing any varietal notes, but rather highlighting the Mediterranean soul of this product. A perfect bottle for fish main courses, cooked both steamed and stewed.

The Chardonnay produced by the Cambria winery originates from the vineyards of the Mastronicola estate, in Furnari. We are in a medium-textured soil abundant in limestone, about 270 meters above sea level. Here, the Chardonnay vines grow using the guyot system, and thanks to careful green pruning, the grapes that reach harvest are of perfect quality; it is worth noting that through pruning, about 40% of the buds are removed. After a short cold maceration, the must begins to ferment at low temperatures in wooden barriques, where the wine will remain to refine until the moment of bottling, for a total period of 8 months.

The white wine Chardonnay Cambria develops in the glass with a beautiful golden yellow color. The ripe fruit, also expressed with exotic touches, opens up to more floral nuances and hints of aromatic herbs that blend with light spicy notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a captivating sip and a iodine-like sip, which concludes with an aftertaste that recalls spices.
