The “Velarosa” Belvento is a classic rosé that combines the great Tuscan tradition in the production of this type of wine with an international variety particularly widespread in Spain and Southern France. The Grenache grape is widely used in Provence for the production of rosé and has adapted very well in the Tuscan Maremma area, where it expresses itself with great fruit maturity, freshness, and elegance. The particularly delicate and refined vinification allows for the creation of a wine with a fruity and saline personality, of great tasting pleasure.

The rosé “Velarosa” is part of the collection of the Belvento brand from the Tuscan winery Petra, owned by the Moretti family, who also owns Bellavista. The Grenache vineyards have an average age of about a dozen years and are cultivated in the hilly area of the Tuscan Maremma, between Suvereto and the coastline of the Tyrrhenian Sea, on soils mainly composed of sands, clays, and limestone, which give the grapes a particularly fine and elegant profile. Once the harvest operations are completed, the soft pressing of the grapes is carried out, with a brief contact with the skins, in order to extract fragrances, aromas, and a delicate pink color. The free-run must is vinified in white in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine is aged in steel tanks for about 3 months.

The “Velarosa” is a rosé produced by the Belvento winery, which confirms the great tradition of rosés from the Tuscan coast. It is a custom linked to an ancient history and a particular aptitude for pairing with first courses of Tuscan cuisine, with white meats or cold cuts. Visually, it presents a delicate light pink color. Refined and elegant, it expresses a bouquet characterized by floral fragrances and fragrant citrus aromas, orange peel, pink grapefruit, pomegranate, raspberry, red currant, hints of medicinal herbs, thyme, rosemary, and wild shrubs of the Mediterranean scrub. The sip is clear, with a crunchy fruit, multifaceted aromas, and a finish characterized by fresh and tasty.
