Der „Pian Alto“ ist ein intensiver Rotwein aus den Colli Berici, basierend auf Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon und Carmenere, der 36 Monate in neuen Fässern und Barriques gereift ist. Typische würzige, balsamische und pflanzliche Aromen der verwendeten Rebsorten harmonieren ausgewogen mit Anklängen von Beeren, Kirschen und süßen Gewürzen. Der Geschmack ist kräftig und tief, mit guter Frische und geschliffenen Tanninen.
A blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, to which a small percentage of Carmenere is added, the “Pian Alto” is a red wine whose aromas, broad and layered, represent a truly exciting business card. The tasting experience continues, then telling of a concentrated and vigorous sip, the result of the long aging process first in barrique and then in large casks. A label that showcases the great skill of the Giannitessari winery team in the difficult art of blending, where each grape contributes to giving nuances and characteristics that make this “Pian Alto” a bottle capable of aging excellently in the coming years.
The “Pian Alto” Giannitessari is born from a skillful blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Carmenere, a grape variety of Albanian origins brought to French territory by the ancient Romans during the imperial era. The grapes, which are born and grow in Guyot-trained vineyards, are harvested by hand, and once they arrive at the facilities dedicated to winemaking, they ferment in steel for about 12 days. Then follows the phase of aging, first carried out for 24 months in new French barriques and for an additional 12 months in large oak casks. At the end of maturation, the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed.
The “Pian Alto” is a red wine that impresses with its beautiful ruby color, crossed by veins that recall garnet tones. The nose is filled with intense olfactory notes, organized around fruity notes that shift towards balsamic and spicy. On the palate, it has excellent structure, is energetic, with a sip where the tannins are well integrated and the drinking experience develops smoothly. A powerful Veneto red, with which Giannitessari gives us the ideal bottle to accompany dishes based on game and grilled red meat.
