Gewurztraminer 'Concerto Grosso' Elena Walch 2024

The Gewurztraminer “Concerto Grosso” is a true symphony of aromas and flavors that interact with each other following the score dictated by Elena Walch's vision. The “Concerto Grosso” is a pure Gewurztraminer that comes from a careful and rigorous selection of the best clusters that have reached maturity during the harvest in vineyards located about 400 meters above sea level. Before fermentation, there is a maceration of about 6 hours on the skins. The grapes are then gently pressed, and the must undergoes a static clarification. The subsequent fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 degrees. It then remains in steel for several months on the lees until bottling operations begin.

The white wine “Concerto Grosso” is a Gewurztraminer that in the glass presents itself with a light and slightly loaded color, reminiscent of the hue of gold. Rich on the nose, where it expresses itself with a range of intense fruity and floral notes, from which a slight touch of clove also emerges. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad and seductive, with an almost dense sip, highlighting a slight savory note that accompanies the drinking experience even in the long and persistent finish; the aftertaste reveals a faint spicy flavor. Something more than a simple Gewurztraminer, for a label that Elena Walch wants to make special.
