Er präsentiert sich in leuchtendem strohgelb und entfaltet in der Nase Noten von tropischen Früchten, weißen Blumen, Mandeln und Vanille, während er am Gaumen frisch, schmackhaft und mit einem duftenden Nachhall ist.
The Curtefranca Bianco by Contadi Castaldi is a white wine made from pure Chardonnay grapes in the Franciacorta area. In the area south of Lake Iseo, in addition to producing an excellent Metodo Classico, the oldest tradition related to the production of still wines, both white and red, under the Curtefranca denomination has been kept alive. This is a rich and intense version of Chardonnay, made with partial maturation in wood, which helps to impart mature tones, leaning towards aromas of yellow fruit, hints of vanilla, and tropical fruit. It is a rich and complex white suitable for those who love mature and soft Chardonnay, with a harmonious and welcoming profile.
The Curtefranca Bianco wine is a still wine produced by one of the most famous Metodo Classico wineries in Franciacorta. Contadi Castaldi is a young reality, born in the early '90s from a project by Vittorio Moretti, already the owner of Bellavista. The winery is located in Adro and manages about 100 hectares of vineyards divided into various plots, located in different areas.from the Franciacorta territory, each with different characteristics for soil composition and microclimate. Chardonnay is the symbolic grape of this area, the one that best represents the vocation for viticulture of the morainic hills of Franciacorta. The very draining, poor soils rich in pebbles are perfect for high-quality viticulture, not only to create sparkling bases with early harvests but also still wines, with full ripening of the grapes. A way to keep the tradition of the territory alive in the production of still wines, despite the success of sparkling wines.
The Curtefranca Bianco from the Contadi Castaldi winery is produced with hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes from vineyards cultivated in the municipalities of Adro, Capriolo, Cazzago, San Martino, and Erbusco. After soft pressing, the must is sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures for 70% in steel tanks and for 30% in oak barrels. In the glass, it presents an intense yellow color with brilliant golden reflections. The bouquet is rich and broad, with aromas of ripe yellow fruit, floral nuances, softness of tropical fruit, hints of vanilla and fresh almond. The palate is complex and satisfying, with a mid-palate of dense aromas that unfold harmoniously towards a fresh, savory, and mineral finish. A label that surprises, presenting an unprecedented face of Franciacorta.
