Barolo 'Bussia' Prunotto 2015

This Barolo “Bussia” represents one of the highest expressions of the entire denomination. It is indeed a bottle that comes from the prized vineyards of the Bussia cru, combining a strong and determined body with a range of elegant and harmonious aromas. A more than winning combination, which gives rise to a always pleasant and satisfying drink, destined to evolve over the years. A red with an important structure, which therefore requires dishes and recipes capable of enhancing its intrinsic characteristics: with red meat and game, you won't go wrong.

This Barolo “Bussia” is born from a careful selection of the red grape variety par excellence in Piemonte, Nebbiolo, carried out by the team at the Prunotto winery. The vineyards are located within the renowned cru of “Bussia”, situated in Monforte, at about 350 meters above sea level and facing south. The grapes, once harvested, are destemmed and pressed, then fermented by macerating for 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees, also undergoing malolactic fermentation. It then moves on to aging, initially for 24 months in large oak barrels, oak of various capacities, and then, after bottling, for at least another 12 months directly in glass.

The “Bussia” is a Barolo that, in the glass, takes on brilliant contours, shifting from ruby red to garnet. Wide and layeredvery persistent aftertaste. A label that has received notable critical acclaim, both nationally and internationally, with which the Prunotto winery interprets one of the most representative and iconic denominations of all of Piemonte: not to be missed!
