Donato Angiuli Moscato Secco ‘Maccone’ is a white wine from Puglia, coming from the Murgia barese area, characterized by an exceptional quality/price ratio. This label belongs to the ‘Maccone’ line, a selection that encompasses expressions with a strong and sincere personality, just like the unique man it pays homage to, who worked for several years in the vineyards and cellar of the Donato Angiuli estate. The Moscato Secco ‘Maccone’ is produced exclusively in particular vintages when the climatic conditions allow for the creation of a dry aromatic white wine, endowed with freshness and sapidity.
The Moscato Secco ‘Maccone’ by Donato Angiuli is made with only Moscato Bianco grapes grown on calcareous-clay soils. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand in boxes during the early hours of the morning, and the bunches are then subjected to a cryomaceration of 48 hours, after which the destemming and pressing of only the free-run must takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature.controlled. After several months of aging always in steel, the wine is finally bottled and marketed the following month.
The ‘Maccone’ Moscato Secco Donato Angiuli has a straw yellow color with delicate golden hues. Aromatic nose with scents of apricot, sage, and mint, accompanied by pleasant floral notes. Dry, light, and fresh on the palate, where the decisive and persistent sapidity supports the beautiful aromatic intensity and the soft body. The finish emphasizes pleasant sensations of sage and citrus.
