The Cerasuolo di Cirelli is a young rosé wine with a juicy and vibrant profile. In Atri, in the Teramo area, Francesco Cirelli confidently continues his winemaking project, which aims to enhance indigenous grape varieties and adopt the most respectful approach to viticulture possible. Therefore, there is space for the principles of the area, such as Trebbiano and Montepulciano, the latter vinified in two rosé versions, one with aging in amphora and the other with only resting in steel, for a more cheerful and carefree interpretation. In the winery, fermentations occur only through the intervention of indigenous yeasts, in order to obtain true juices of the territory, products of the area, grape variety, and vintage.

The Cerasuolo D'Abruzzo comes from pure Montepulciano grapes, cultivated in Atri in the province of Teramo. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand, with a double selection of the bunches both in the vineyard and in the winery. After destemming and crushing, the must is transferred to steel containers, where fermentation occurs spontaneously thanks to the intervention of indigenous yeasts. The maceration on the skins lasts for a few hours, in order to extract little material from the grapes. The aging takes place in steel containers on the fine lees and lasts for about 4 months.

The Cerasuolo enchants as soon as poured into the glass, showcasing an intense pink hue of great liveliness. The nose is lively and very fresh, and unfolds in succession notes of wild strawberries, currants, and spicy hints of white pepper. The liveliness of the nose suggests a juicy and carefree liquid, an impression that is confirmed on tasting. The sip is driven by freshness and sapidity, and has an irresistible drinkability, suggesting both consumption during an aperitif and use at the daily table, due to a gastronomic versatility that is virtually unlimited. An unbeatable rosé for quality-price.
